I wanted to write about all the ways our team are looking after one another through the crisis, making sure the same amount of care and support we give our customers is also available to our people.

What we're doing to help our customers through the energy crisis – from our £15 million Octopus Assist fund which has been increased to £30 million this winter, to loans of thermal cameras to find draughts in leaky homes over Winter, electric throws, and our Winter Workout energy saving programme that’s helped customers save £4.8 million by using less, but whilst still staying warm.

'But what about when the wind's not blowing?'... It's a question we get all the time – so we wanted to catalog in one place some of the innovative flexibility technologies we're working on to ensure we can power our world 100% green, 100% of the time.

EQUINOX is Octopus Energy's latest cutting edge trial, designed to unlock grid flexibility via heat pumps. The trial, the biggest of its kind so far, will reward customers who want to get involved with unleashing the very greenest in home heating.

At Octopus, we don't just supply energy, we generate it too. Octopus Energy Generation are combining expertise from across the whole breadth of the energy industry to create a kind of generation business that’s never been seen before.
