You might see gaps in your usage when we haven’t received an automatic meter reading. This can happen when we temporarily lose connection with your meter after a brief power loss or a drop in signal, but the gaps don’t normally last very long. If it’s happening a lot, there are some things you can do to try to remedy the problem and prevent readings from being missed.
Make sure the connection is strong. Smart meters send data using a signal in the same way as your mobile phone. If your area has poor signal, or if the meter is in a place with weak signal, this can affect it.
If your Home Mini isn't connecting, make sure it's plugged in as close as possible to your electricity meter – ideally within 5 metres.
