This depends on the type of prepayment meter you have.
Press the 'B' Button on the meter to wake it up. This will also make the meter automatically scroll through various display screens, staying on each one for 2 seconds.
When you come across the Emergency Credit screen you will see the status of Emergency Credit.
If Emergency Credit has been activated, it will show ‘E-CRED ON’
If the Emergency Credit has run out, it will display ‘NO E-CRED’.
If Emergency Credit is available, the screen will display 'EC OFFER’.
If you wish to activate Emergency Credit Press ‘A' to accept, and B to confirm it
Press the green A button to wake up the meter screen.
Continue pressing the green A button until you reach the screen with "EMCRD" - normally the third one after waking up the screen.
This screen tells you how much emergency credit you have left.
Press the red A button to wake up the meter screen.
You should see a screen saying "Credit" and underneath "EmCr" with a value remaining.
If the EmCr value is followed by "Acc" the emergency credit is not in use.
If the EmCr value is followed by "Rem" then the emergency credit is being used.
Press the OK button to wake up the meter screen.
The screen will cycle between "EC remain" - which shows how much emergency credit is left - and "Min Topup"

If the meter screen is off, press either button once to wake it up.
Press the up button to access the menu, then scroll to “Personal Data”
Press and hold the up button, if you have a pin you will need to enter it, otherwise press and hold the up button again.
When the screen changes, continue to press the up button until you see “ECR Balance”.
