Save with Smart charging and low import rates

Intelligent Octopus Flux is a smart import and export tariff optimised to give you the best rates for consuming and selling your energy. Compared to our clever-but-not-quite-Intelligent Flux tariff, Intelligent customers could save £100 or more each year.

Import rates even lower than standard Flux, we'll make sure your battery charges when the price is lowest and the grid is greenest.

A peak rate between 16:00 - 19:00, our optimum time to discharge your battery and export surplus energy back to the grid, don't worry well take care of this.

Here comes the sun

You need solar panels and a GivEnergy battery to be eligible for Intelligent Octopus Flux, but we don't need to have been the ones to install them.

What happens next...

To switch to Intelligent Octopus Flux, you'll need to download the Octopus Energy app. Once you have connected your battery in the app, we will switch your import and export tariffs at the same time.

If you're not already on an Octopus export tariff, you'll need to sign up to either Octopus Outgoing or Octopus Flux. Once your export is set up, you can switch to Intelligent Octopus Flux in the app.

Intelligent Octopus Flux is a product of our labs, available now to customers through our beta programme

Intelligent Octopus Flux is a beta product. Some things may not work the first time, and installations and processes may take longer than we'd like. Third party tech like In-home Displays won't always work, and on occasion data issues with smart meters can take significant time to fix or prevent things from working at all.

Intelligent Octopus Flux is currently only compatible with GivEnergy batteries. Got a different battery? Tell us which one and we'll let you know when we can connect.
