Some industry-standard tech (like In-Home Displays) might not work perfectly, and some processes like installations may take longer than we'd like.
This product is right at the cutting edge of energy tech, so very occasionally, some things might not work the first time.
Important: Energy prices are particularly volatile right now, so this tariff is currently exclusive to customers who bought solar panels and a battery from us. We’ll update this page if that changes. But you don't have to wait to make your solar and battery work harder for you — our standard Octopus Flux tariff is available right now, offering fantastic import and export rates.

Intelligent Octopus Flux is a smart import and export tariff optimised to give you the best rates for consuming and selling your energy.
Import rates even lower than standard Flux, we’ll make sure your battery charges when the grid is the greenest.
A peak rate between 16:00 - 19:00, our optimum time to discharge your battery and export surplus energy back to the grid, don’t worry we’ll take care of this.

What's the average cost to have solar panels installed by Octopus energy? (FAQ)
The cost of installation can depend on how many panels you need, whether you choose to have battery storage, and what size of battery you require. The cost of a panel-only installation by Octopus starts from £6,663 (for 2 panels). Our most popular system is a 12 panel installation with a 10kWh smart battery which costs £11,115 All costs are based on April 2026 prices.
You'll have the option to pay monthly with a fixed-term loan, or pay in full after installation. We'll ask you to pay a non-refundable deposit of £500 when you sign your installation agreement.
Your solar and battery system could pay for itself in 9-13 years
