Sleek solar panels
**~455W PV solar panels**
All of our solar packages are installed with state-of-the-art 455W PV solar panels, and come with a whopping 25 year product warranty, and a 30 year linear power output warranty – guaranteeing your system’s performance over time.
We install a minimum of 2 solar panels, and a maximum of 36 on a Tesla system, 30 on an Enphase system or 16 on a Fox EVO system. At quote stage, we’ll recommend a suitable number of panels for your home’s roof and usage. However if you’d like to modify this design, you can (roof size dependant).
Measuring 1.7m by 1.1m in size, each panel offers high efficiency and performance, and they’re all black, so your sleek solar panels will be the envy of your neighbours too.

13.5kWh battery storage (Tesla Powerwall 3)
The newest edition of the Tesla Powerwall is now available for installation with Octopus Energy. Just like our standard battery options, it pairs seamlessly with your PV panels to store energy when the sun shines, whilst boasting premium features that could provide greater longevity.
The Powerwall 3 comes with a 10-year comprehensive warranty, and if your battery capacity drops below 80% in that time, Tesla will replace it – free of charge. It also comes with a high-performance in-built inverter, so there's no need for microinverters, or a clunky inverter installed inside your home.
On top of standard battery benefits, the Powerwall 3 is great for:

Add even more storage with an Expansion Pack
Pairing a Powerwall 3 with a Tesla Expansion Pack means double the storage right from day one - perfect for homes with bigger energy needs or anyone planning to add a heat pump or EV charger soon.
Each Expansion Pack adds 13.5kWh of extra storage, neatly connected to a Powerwall 3 without needing a second inverter. You can add up to three Expansion Packs per Powerwall 3, giving you a seriously powerful setup.

10kWh battery storage
For larger homes which require 10-20 solar panels, 10kWh of battery power is the way to go, and our premium batteries can be fitted in most UK homes. Suitable for installation inside and outside, your battery will be installed with all the kit you need, including industry-leading solar panels and microinverters.
For a 10kWh installation, we will install either a Fox EVO battery or 2 Enphase batteries.
Our standard batteries come with a 12-15 year warranty period, depending on the product installed.

5kWh battery storage
For small to medium sized homes, a 5kWh battery is the perfect way to optimise your energy usage and make savings on your energy costs.
Our Smart Solar + Storage package is installed with both the solar panels and microinverters mentioned above, an Enphase 5 kWh battery, as well as everything else you’ll need for a standard installation, a mid-sized battery is best for systems with 6-10 solar panels.
If you’re looking for a value option, our Essential Solar + Storage package includes the solar panels mentioned above, a Fox EVO 5 kWh battery.
Our batteries come with a 10-15 year warranty period, depending on the product installed.

Our inverter options
IQ8 Series Microinverter
We now install top-of-the-range microinverters with our panel-only, 5kWh & 10kWh battery packages. Instead of taking up loads of space in your home - the microinverters now sit directly underneath each solar panel on your roof.
Microinverters are safer too. Unlike systems with a string inverter, our inverters never contain high-voltage direct current (DC) power, eliminating the risk of DC arc fault fires. Plus, they’re highly weatherproof, and use breakthrough technology to capture even more energy in low-light conditions than before.
The inverters come with a 25 year linear warranty, and can be used together with a highly-rated smartphone app, to monitor your solar generation, usage and export.
Built-in inverters
The Tesla Powerwall 3 and the Fox EVO battery come with their own built-in inverter, so microinverters are not necessary.

What's the average cost to have solar panels installed by Octopus energy? (FAQ)
The cost of installation can depend on how many panels you need, whether you choose to have battery storage, and what size of battery you require. The cost of a panel-only installation by Octopus starts from £6,663 (for 2 panels). Our most popular system is a 12 panel installation with a 10kWh smart battery which costs £11,115 All costs are based on April 2026 prices.
You'll have the option to pay monthly with a fixed-term loan, or pay in full after installation. We'll ask you to pay a non-refundable deposit of £500 when you sign your installation agreement.
Your solar and battery system could pay for itself in 9-13 years
