What is Outgoing Octopus, and how do I join?
Our Outgoing Octopus tariff enables you to get paid for any excess solar energy you don’t use and export to the grid. It’s perfect for homes with solar panels, battery storage or any other way of sending energy back to the grid.
This tariff comes in three forms:
Outgoing Octopus: A variable tariff currently paying 12p/kWh for every unit you export
Agile Outgoing Octopus: We match your half-hourly prices with day-ahead wholesale rates
Prime Outgoing Octopus: Export at prime time (4pm-7pm) for an awesome 16p per kWh and earn a steady 9p per kWh the rest of the day.
