Pink Friday Win a Car Competition – Terms & Conditions

1. The Prize

  • There will be one competition with two prizes. The first prize will be an OMODA E5 Noble – Obsidian Black (the “First Prize Car”), and the second prize will be a Jaecoo 5 Pure – Zircon Grey (the “Second Prize Car”) (each a “Prize Car” and together, the “Prize Cars”).
  • The total retail value of the First Prize Car is approximately £35,064.) and the total retail value of the Second Prize Car is approximately £28,005. The colour and specification of the Prize Cars will be determined by the Promoter based on stock availability.
  • The cost of road tax, motor insurance, maintenance, and running costs from the date of handover are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize Cars with an alternative vehicle of equal or greater value if necessary.

2. Eligibility

  • Open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
  • Entrants must be a customer of Octopus Energy Limited who have opted into Octoplus.
  • Entrants must possess either a full or provisional UK driving license valid at the time of entry and prize acceptance. (The Promoter reserves the right to waive this requirement in the case of a winner who is unable to drive due to disability, provided the winner intends to own the car for a carer’s use).
  • Employees of the Octopus Energy Group of companies, their immediate families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with this promotion are not eligible to enter.

3. How to Enter

  • Entrants can enter once per day via the Octopus Energy app or web banner during the Promotion Period: 24th November 2025 00:00 to 28th November 2025 13:59
  • To enter, click the ‘Win A Car’ link and submit your entry. You’ll receive an email confirming your submission.
  • Maximum of one entry is permitted per person per day. Entries received after the closing date will not be counted.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify bulk entries from individuals, consumer groups or third parties, incomplete entries, and entries submitted by macros or other automated means.

4. Draw & Winner Confirmation

  • Potential winners will be chosen at random from all valid entries received at the end of the Promotional Period (each a “Potential Winner”). Potential Winners will be called on the number provided on their entry between 2pm and 3pm on Friday 28th November.
  • During the call, we will ask: “What day is it?”
  • To win, the Potential Winner must correctly answer: “It’s Pink Friday.”
  • If the Potential Entrant answers incorrectly, or if the call cannot be connected (e.g., no answer, phone line drops, entrant is unreachable) after 2 attempts, we will immediately move on to the next Potential Winner until two winners are confirmed.
  • The first Potential Winner to successfully confirm “It’s Pink Friday” will receive the First Prize and the second Potential Winner to successfully confirm “It’s Pink Friday” will receive the Second Prize subject to the Winner Acceptance below.
  • Winner Acceptance: The provisional winners must respond to the call/notification and complete any necessary eligibility verification within 7 days of initial contact. Failure to comply may result in disqualification and the prize being awarded to a reserve winner selected in the same manner. Reserve winners may have less time to respond.

5. Call Privacy & Right to Publish

  • By entering, participants consent to their voice and call being broadcast, and to the recording of the call being used by Octopus Energy Limited and Octopus Electric Vehicles for promotional, marketing, and social media purposes.
  • During the draw, only the winners’ first names and general location (e.g., city or region) will be shared publicly. We will not follow standard DPA verification (e.g. asking for address) on the call to ensure a swift process to finding winners.
  • The Promoter is required by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) to demonstrate that a valid award took place. Therefore, provided no objection is received, the winner's surname and county of residence will be made available upon written request to the Promoter one month after the draw date, for a period of 8 weeks. Winners can object to this publication, or request that the amount of information published be reduced, by emailing octoplus@octoenergy.com during the winner notification process.

6. Prize Handover Conditions

  • The winner is responsible for ensuring the Prize Car is insured prior to its delivery or collection, if it is to be driven on a public highway.
  • The Promoter will arrange delivery or collection of the Prize Car with the winner within 28 days of winner acceptance and confirmation of necessary paperwork.
  • The winner must not re-sell the Prize Car for a period of three months following delivery. Should the winner wish to sell during this period, they must obtain the prior written consent of the Promoter.
  • When collecting the Prize Car or communicating with the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to withhold the Prize if the winner acts in a manner that is dangerous, anti-social, abusive, or causes a disturbance or nuisance to others.

7. Reminders & Notifications

  • Entrants will receive:
    • An email confirmation including the winning phrase after every entry.
    • A reminder via app notification on the morning of the draw.
    • A link to a landing page and invite email the week before the draw.

8. Data Use

  • By entering, participants consent to their personal data being processed for the administration of this competition.
  • By entering, participants can opt-in/consent to be added to Octopus Electric Vehicles’s mailing list for future marketing communications.
  • We will not share personal data outside the company. Data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy

9. General

  • No purchase necessary.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition if necessary, due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to, global or regional health crises, technical failures, fraud, or unauthorised intervention.
  • The Promoter’s decision is final and binding on all entrants, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • The Promoter together with any associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss) or damage arising in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using the Prize Cars, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (such as death or personal injury caused by its negligence).
  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
