On World Octopus Day, an elite squad will embark on a wild EV road trip through 5 different countries from London to Berlin to attend our WIRED Energy Tech Summit as social media ambassadors.

What's happening?
The Energy Tech Summit is arguably the most exclusive and exciting clean tech event of the year.
We've assembled a convoy of best-loved green tech influencers to cover the Summit on social media. What better way to get there than an EV road trip, meeting on the 7th October and setting off the next day on the 8th – World Octopus Day – led by Phil Steele, our own Future Technologies Evangelist.
What's the Energy Tech Summit?
On October 11th, green tech leaders will assemble from around the globe to lay out the blueprint for the rapid move to a global clean energy system.
Last year's sold-out event saw it all, from the launch of the Cosy 6: our groundbreaking heat pump, to Tim Peake backing solar farms in space. This year's line-up is jam-packed and promises more special announcements. Tickets are on sale now – all proceeds go to Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation.
If you're an EV driver who loves talking green tech online and you're up for a bit of a challenge, apply for a spot in the convoy.

Evening of Mon 7th Oct
> We'll meet you in Folkestone for a cosy night's kip in a costal hotel before the trip begins bright and early in the morning.
Tue 8th Oct
> We set off on World Octopus Day: get ready to cruise through several different countries with a scenic stop-off for lunch, fun challenges and activities en route.
Wed 9th Oct
> The day'll be spent driving through some of the most picturesque roads in Germany, ending up in the capital.
Thu 10th Oct - Energy Tech Summit
> It's event day. You'll have exclusive access to the Clean Tech event of the year, with a crazy lineup of green tech leaders including Stella Li (CEO, BYD Americas), Sundeep Jain (Chief Product Officer and SVP Engineering, Uber), Greg Jackson (CEO, Octopus Energy) and many, many more.
Fri 11th Oct
> The convoy is complete, you can make your way back home in your own time, seeing the sights en route, if you fancy. We'll cover your hotel and food for Friday and Saturday.
Don't you worry, we'll cover all your expenses for the trip for you and a plus one, including:
