Official Competition Terms & Conditions: Spudbros x Octopus Energy £800 'Find the Octopus' Treasure Hunt


1. Promoter & Host

This promotion is sponsored by Octopus Energy Limited (Company No. 09263424), registered at 33 Holborn, London EC1N 2HT (“Promoter”), and hosted by Spudbros (“Host”) at the Spudbros Birmingham store opening event.


2. Eligibility

  • The promotion is open to UK residents of all ages attending the Spudbros Birmingham store opening event on 15/09/26.

  • If the winner is under 18 years of age, the prize must be accepted and claimed on their behalf by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Employees of Octopus Energy Limited, Spudbros, or their immediate family members are not eligible to win.


3. Promotional Period & Location

The treasure hunt takes place live on-site during the store opening hours on 15/09, starting when the store opens and ending when the event concludes or when the hidden octopus item is successfully claimed.


4. How to Enter & Win

  • The Hunt: Attendees must search for the designated physical octopus plushie hidden in public customer areas on-site at the event.

  • Verification: The first person to locate the hidden octopus plushie and present it to an official Spudbros staff member on-site wins the prize.

  • Contingency Raffle: If the octopus token is not found before the store opening event officially concludes, the Promoter and Host will select a winner via a live, random digital or raffle draw from attendees present at the venue before the event ends.


5. The Prize

  • There is 1 (one) prize consisting of £800 cash (or direct UK bank transfer).

  • The prize is non-transferable and no alternatives will be offered.

  • If the winner is under 18, bank transfer details must belong to a parent or legal guardian who provides consent.


6. Winner Verification & Payment

  • The winner (or their parent/guardian) must provide valid UK photo ID and bank details to Octopus Energy to process the £800 payout.

  • Prize funds will be transferred within 14 working days of receiving verified payment details.


7. Safety & Venue Rules

  • Participants must act safely and responsibly at all times. The hidden plushie will not be placed in dangerous, restricted, private, or elevated areas.

  • The Promoter and Host accept no liability for personal injury, property damage, or loss incurred while participating in the treasure hunt. Unsafe behaviour or crowd interference will result in disqualification.


8. General & Privacy

  • By participating, entrants agree to these Terms & Conditions.

  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta/Instagram.

  • Governed by the laws of England and Wales.
