Smart tariff service status
What is this page for?
Smart tariffs are cutting-edge tech, often relying on multiple integrations between our technology (OE Tech or Kraken) and dozens of third parties (car manufacturers, chargers, other smart devices). Bugs can appear and things can break.
This page will, as much as possible, summarise any recent issues that might be useful for customers to know we are investigating. It will also include our plans for some (but not all) feature releases. A quick note, though: we adapt our plans as we go to stay as efficient as possible, so our priorities often shift.
Known problems
Date 8th Sept
Status 
Issue: We're aware some MyEnergi Zappi onboarding to IO-Go is taking 12+ hours to complete. MyEnergi are working on a fix.
Customer action needed? Start the process and let it continue for up to 24 hour period.
Date Weds 16th Sept
Status 
Issue: On Wednesday 16th Sept between 6am and 11am BMW / Mini will be performing some maintenance on their API and as a result smart charging will not be available.
Customer action needed? Yes. If you need to charge during this time you will need to do it manually.
Date Aug
Status
Issue We're working on a firmware fix as some Home Mini devices drop off wifi after a few weeks.
Customer action needed? Yes. If you unplug and replug in your Mini, you should see your data within the hour! If you're still having trouble drop us a line at agile@octopus.energy and we'll be happy to help!
