Octopus Energy achieves standout customer satisfaction levels in latest Ofgem survey
• 90% overall satisfaction, significantly higher than the GB average and the top among all major suppliers
• 86% customer service satisfaction, beating the national average of 77% by a clear margin
• Lowest dissatisfaction in the market, with just 3-4% of customers unhappy with their overall experience or customer service
London, 2nd June 2026 – Octopus Energy has once again outperformed the market, scoring standout customer satisfaction ratings in Ofgem and Citizens Advice’s latest nationwide survey*.
The Customers' satisfaction with their supplier report confirms that 9 in 10 Octopus customers are satisfied or very satisfied overall (90%), significantly beating the GB average of 81%.
Octopus was the only supplier in the country to score significantly higher than the market average for overall customer satisfaction.
On customer service, Octopus scored a record 86%, outpacing the national average of 77% and once again leading the market.
Only 4% of Octopus customers reported being dissatisfied overall, and just 3% were dissatisfied with customer service – the lowest rates across all large energy companies.
Greg Jackson, Founder and CEO of Octopus Energy Group, said: “Delivering exceptional service at scale is hard work, but our team proves it's possible month after month. By relentlessly investing in our technology and our people, we are making sure our customers continue to get the best-in-market care they deserve.”
Alongside customer satisfaction, Octopus’s trust ratings are also more than 50% higher than industry rivals, a YouGov survey found in March.**
The supplier has consistently held a 5-star Trustpilot rating and is the only energy firm to be a Which? Recommended Provider for nine consecutive years.
Recent surveys confirm the company remains the most trusted name in the sector, attracting everyone from tech-adopters cutting bills with EVs to older customers who simply value a company that answers the phone.
It’s not just externally either, Octopus also does right by its team members. The company has recently been named one of Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work in and one of Financial Times’ Best Place to Work in the UK.
