How are FiT payments calculated?

FiT payments are based on two things: generation and export (which only applies if you export energy to the grid).

The generation payment is calculated using the meter readings you send us. 

The export payment is based on one of the following

• Deemed export: calculated based on 50% of the energy you generated.

• Metered export: calculated using the export meter reading, either taken from your export meter or an export register on your smart meter.
