I have an Economy 7 meter - how do I tell my off-peak (night) reading from my peak (day) reading?

If you’re having trouble working out which of your readings is recording your day usage, and which is recording your night usage, you can do a simple test to find out.
Take a photo of your meter reading after 8am but before 11pm, then take another 1 hour later. Try to include a watch or clock in the photo for our reference. The reading that has moved will be the reading recording your peak usage.

If you frequently mix up your night and day readings, this can lead to inaccurate billing and you could potentially be overcharged.
