Current Account Terms and Conditions - Businesses Referring Domestic Energy Customers

General
These Terms and Conditions apply to customers (“Referred Customers”, “you”) switching their energy supply to Octopus Energy using an official affiliate link provided under an Octopus Energy affiliate programme (including High Referrer, People Power, and Current Account). By signing up using an affiliate link, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions:
The Programme is offered by Octopus Energy Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with registered number 09263424 and registered office UK House, 5th Floor, 164-182 Oxford Street, London, United Kingdom, W1D 1NN (“Octopus Energy”).
Octopus Energy reserves the right to cancel or amend these offer terms without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website, but we will do our best to avoid doing so. In the event of any dispute regarding any aspect of the offer, the decision of Octopus Energy shall be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
These Programme Terms and Conditions are separate to the terms and conditions for the supply of gas and electricity that you will have with Octopus Energy, and nothing under these Terms and Conditions will affect your rights and obligations under those supply terms.
The Reward
The Programme provides a reward (the “Reward”) to Referred Customers in the form of energy credit applied to an Octopus Energy account, subject to the eligibility criteria below.
For domestic (residential) energy supply sign-ups, the standard Reward is £50 energy credit. For business/commercial energy supply sign-ups, the standard Reward is £75 energy credit.
We will add the Reward to your account once you have made your first successful Direct Debit payment to us and are actively supplied with energy by us.
The Reward is non-transferable, has no cash alternative, and can only be applied as account credit against an active Octopus Energy energy supply account.
Eligibility Criteria
You will not be eligible to receive the Reward if:
You do not complete your sign-up directly online through a valid affiliate link (for example, if you sign up over the phone, through a price comparison site, via a third-party broker, or attempt to claim the reward retrospectively);
You cancel your energy agreement with us before your Supply Start Date or before making your first successful Direct Debit payment;
You have been a customer of Octopus Energy (including any of its whitelabel or sub-brands) within the last 12 months, save for the existing customer eligibility set out below; or
You sign up through a link that has been deactivated.
Existing Customers
If you qualify for more than one type of marketing incentive, Octopus Energy reserves the right to give you just one incentive.
Existing customers of Octopus Energy who have not previously received a reward credit or switching offer may be eligible to receive the Reward credit on their account by quoting a valid affiliate link. However, existing customers who have already claimed and received a switching offer (including a refer-a-friend or another affiliate offer) will not be eligible to receive the Reward.
Octopus Energy shall in its sole discretion have the right not to pay or to deduct a Reward if the Referred Customer breaches these Terms and Conditions or their energy supply agreement.
Data Protection
Octopus Energy’s privacy policy shall apply to any data collected in connection with your sign-up and can be found online at www.octopus.energy/privacy.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
