A series of Octopus Energy products are powering Box Bears' sustainability.

Like our solar export tariff Panel Power, which pays Box Bear to send the energy it generates back to the grid. They also use Electroverse to charge their fleet of Teslas when they’re on the road.

Yet, Shape Shifters has taken the spotlight at Box Bear - giving them more control over their energy prices.

How is Box Bear Shifting its Shape?

Shape Shifters is a time-of-use tariff, providing customers with 3 different rates throughout the day.

By using most of your energy outside the 4-7pm peak, you'll benefit more from Shape Shifters off-peak rates.

Shape Shifters encourages Box Bear to be flexible with their energy usage. As a result, they’re reaping the rewards with a forecast of up to £2,000 in savings by the end of this year.

Box Bear has taken shifting in stride. By changing some of their work habits, they now use much more energy when it's cheapest.

So watt's changed?

Box Bear has been making small tweaks around the office. Like setting a timer on their dishwasher to run after 7pm and turning the office's air conditioning off after 4pm.

Then, there are the changes to Box Bears' working hours.

For example, it has become more flexible with its consumption - shifting film shoots to start earlier in the day. That way, Box Bear can often wrap up before the 4pm peak period begins.

By making these smart choices using Shape Shifters, it's having a big impact on Box Bears' energy costs.

From desktops to doorsteps

Box Bears' charge points are also open to the public. This allows people to park outside the office and charge their EVs - providing cheaper rates for EV users outside of Shape Shifters' peak period.
