How do I get Octopus Go?
Octopus Go is the first tariff of its kind, and requires half-hourly consumption data from a SecureTM smart meter.
If you don’t have one, or have a smart meter from another manufacturer, that’s no problem – we’ll install one for you.
Installing a smart meter typically takes 2-4 weeks, once you’re an Octopus Energy customer.
Most properties are suitable for a smart meter, as long as you have good mobile signal, and are not currently on a prepay meter.
If you’ve already got a 3 phase electricity meter or a SecureTM smart meter, you’re in a rural location, or your electricity meter is in a communal cupboard, drop an email to email@example.com and we’ll look into it for you.
Choose an interim tariff, and start your switch to Octopus today.
Once your smart meter is installed and we can read your half-hourly data, you’ll be ready to switch your electricity to go Octopus. Your gas will remain on your interim tariff.
