You made it!

Thanks for indulging us on the biggest day in the octopus calendar. We figured some of you might be feeling glum after our octocomp ended at the end of last month, so we've prepared a mini-competition to fill that void in your heart.

Your task is simple.

1. Recreate and octopusify a famous work of art. Come up with a new name
2. Share your betentacled creation on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #artopusenergy (please note: if you have a private Instagram, we can't see any posts you tag us in. Please share on Facebook or Twitter, too!)
3. Tag a friend you'd sacrifice to our octopus overlords in your post, along with @octopus_energy

The rules

• It’s got to have an octopus in it. Naturally. Swap out one of art’s great muses for an eight-legged impostor.
• Be creative. We want to see into the weirdest and most imaginative nooks, crannies and crevices of your mind.
• You can take your inspiration from anything, from a classic movie moment...

...to a famous scene from art history, whether it’s a painting, a sculpture, a photograph, etc.

• You can recreate it however you want. Really, the world's your oyster. Paint something, draw something. Do it live and send us a snap, or if you’re handy on Photoshop, do it digitally...

• We're serious about the name. Extra points for bold and audacious pun use.
• Keep it clean 👀
• Submissions are open now. Deadline Wednesday 14 November.

7. By entering you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, any Specific Terms and Conditions relating to the relevant prize draw and any applicable instructions.
8. Fraudulent or incorrectly completed entries will not be accepted, neither will entries made in breach or non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions. No liability is accepted for entries that are not received for any reason by Octopus Energy.
9. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable other than at the sole discretion of Octopus Energy.
10. By entering any competition, in the event that you are the winner you agree to reasonable use of your name and image on the website and in the media and materials produced by or on behalf of Octopus Energy. Octopus Energy will retain the rights to any media and materials produced.
11. Octopus Energy in its sole discretion reserves the right to withdraw or vary the terms of competitions and promotions and/or any offer made in connection with them in order to comply with the decision of any relevant judicial or regulatory body and shall not be held liable to any entrant for so doing.
12. Unless otherwise specified in writing, in the event that you are required to travel to take part in any event, you are responsible for making all your own arrangements.
13. The Privacy Policy on the Octopus Energy Website shall apply to any data collected in connection with the promotion.
