To qualify for an Octopus solar installation, you'll need to own your home and have a pitched (non-flat) roof with enough clear space to fit at least two solar panels. For guidance on the space requirements for different panel sizes, 

Currently, we’re unable to install solar systems on flats or homes with a three-phase electricity meter. Our installations are also limited to roofs with clay or concrete tiles at this time.

The cost of installation can depend on how many panels you need, whether you choose to have battery storage, and what size of battery you require. The cost of a panel-only installation by Octopus starts from £6,163 (for 2 panels). A 8 panel installation and a 5kWh battery costs £8,123 with an essential battery or £9,691with a smart battery. All costs are based on October 25 prices.You'll have the option to pay monthly with a fixed-term loan, or pay in full after installation. We'll ask you to pay a non-refundable deposit of £500 when you sign your installation agreement.
