Here's how we can all make a difference.
A Little Change
You wonderful lot are so generous that we kept being asked to introduce a scheme to help those in need. A Little Change is one of the things we came up with. Add a small amount to your bill and we'll give it to three great causes: National Energy Action, Citizens Advice and Renewable World. This is a simple way to make a positive impact on every bill.
Solar Sharing
Got lots of excess solar energy? Share it with those who need it most. Thanks to a brilliant idea from one of our customers, you can now donate the value of your excess homegrown energy to the Octo Assist fund or National Energy Action. It’s a simple way to turn your surplus sunshine into direct support for families facing fuel poverty.
Octo Assist
We’re here to help when things get tough. Our £40 million Octo Assist fund is there for those who need it most, from handing out free electric blankets to providing help with energy bills. We believe in looking after our community and ensuring everyone stays warm, because energy is about people, not just pipes.
Free electric blankets
Part of the Octo Assist scheme, our free electric blankets have helped more than 60,000 customers stay warm for pennies a day. We’ve prioritised those who need them most, including the elderly and those with medical needs, to provide a cosy, cost-effective alternative to turning the heating up.
Thermal camera loans
Stop heat escaping your home before it hits your bill. Our free thermal camera loans allow you to spot the hidden draughts and cold spots where you’re losing energy (and money). It’s the ultimate "energy detective" tool, helping you make smart, targeted DIY fixes that keep the warmth in and the costs down.
