Terms & Conditions - Heat pump week

1. General

These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) apply to the “Heat Pump Week” offer (“the Offer”). By participating, you agree to be bound by these T&Cs.

Octopus Energy reserves the right to modify, suspend, or withdraw the Offer at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be communicated via the Octopus Energy website.

In the event of any dispute regarding the Offer, Octopus Energy’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Offer is separate from any Octopus Energy supply agreements and does not affect your rights under those agreements.

2. Offer Period

The Offer opens at 00:01 on 29 September 2025 and closes at 23:59 on 5 October 2025 (the “Offer Period”).

3. Eligibility

  • The Offer is open to domestic customers in England and Wales.
  • Participation is limited to customers currently on supply with Octopus Energy.
  • Participants must have an Octopus Energy heat pump installed prior to 29 September 2025.
  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Employees of Octopus Energy, their families, agents, or anyone connected with the Offer are not eligible.

4. How to Enter

  • To enter, participants must post on Twitter (X), Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or LinkedIn during the Offer Period.
  • Posts must:
    • Be publicly visible.
    • Tag Octopus Energy on the platform used.
    • Include the hashtag #heatpumplove.
    • Share something the participant loves about their heat pump.
  • Only one post per platform per customer will be eligible. Posts that are deleted, private, or do not comply with platform rules will not qualify.

By entering, participants confirm that all information provided is accurate and agree to allow Octopus Energy to use their post or a version of it for promotional purposes.

5. Prize

  • One winner will receive free electricity for one year, up to £1,755. The prize consists of the equivalent of one year’s worth of electricity, calculated using Ofgem’s definition of medium domestic consumption and Octopus Energy’s Standard Variable Rates (Flexible Octopus) at the time of the draw. On the 5th October 2025 this will be £1,755.
  • The prize will be applied as a credit to the winner’s Octopus Energy account within 30 days of the offer end period.
  • The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative is available.

6. Winner Selection & Notification

  • The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries within 30 days of the end of the Offer Period.
  • The winner will be notified via direct message on the platform used to enter.
  • If the winner cannot be contacted or declines the prize, an alternative winner will be selected at Octopus Energy’s discretion.

7. Data Protection

  • By entering, participants consent to Octopus Energy processing their personal data for the purpose of administering the Offer and for promotional purposes.
  • Personal data will be handled in accordance with UK data protection law and Octopus Energy’s Privacy Policy: https://octopus.energy/policies/privacy-policy/

8. General Conditions

  • Octopus Energy is not responsible for entries that are not received due to technical failures or other circumstances beyond its control.
  • The Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer, unless expressly stated by Octopus Energy.
  • Participants are responsible for any costs or travel required to claim the prize.
  • These T&Cs are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
