Octopus Electroverse and Freenow by Lyft partner to zap up savings for tens of thousands of EV drivers

London / Hamburg, 10 February 2026 – Electroverse, Europe’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network, is teaming up with popular European taxi app Freenow by Lyft to help thousands of drivers tuck into clean power – and tuck away some hefty savings too.

In the UK, Freenow taxi drivers and fleets are eligible to scoop more than 40% savings per year on charging – that’s roughly £1,100 back in drivers’ pockets – just by powering up via the Electroverse network.

And it doesn’t stop there. Rolling out across 180 major cities in Britain, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Poland, the partnership brings Electroverse’s award-winning charging service and exclusive deals to tens of thousands of drivers across Europe.

Drivers and fleet operators can simply link their Freenow account to the Electroverse platform and start saving right away.

Fleets receive a special bonus: As part of the tie-up, the first two months of the charging subscription are completely free, allowing fleets to unlock exclusive offers and discounts from leading brands like Ionity, Osprey, Powerdot and many more.

Electroverse already gives over 1 million drivers one-tap access to 8 out of 10 public chargers in Europe, making finding and topping up on the go as smooth as a ride.

The award-winning roaming service also includes customer favourites, such as its easy-to-use route planner, built-in charge-point map, and in-car support via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

This comes as EV adoption across the UK is in full swing, with one new public charger installed every 13 minutes** and one electric car registered almost every minute***.
