Octopus Energy launches Pink Friday to give Britain freebies

• Forget Black Friday – Octopus turns it pink and gives away tens of thousands of treats
• From Greggs bakes and UberEats discounts to cinema trips, cuddly toys and even two brand new EVs – it’s all up for grabs for Octoplus members of the UK’s largest energy supplier
• The pink-powered campaign runs from 24 November to 2 December, wrapping up with a feel-good Giving Tuesday finale

London, 20th November 2025 – Octopus Energy is flipping the nation’s biggest shopping weekend on its head with Pink Friday: a week-long giveaway of feel-good freebies and exclusive deals for its ‘Octoplus’ customers across the UK.

From free Greggs sausage rolls to cinema trips, chocolates, cute plushies, and £8 off UberEats takeaways, the energy supplier is turning the annual spending spree into a nationwide saving spree.

And that’s not all! Every day from 24–28 November, ‘Octoplus’ customers can enter into a prize draw to win one of two brand new electric cars courtesy of sister brand Octopus Electric Vehicles – the Jaecoo J5 Pure or the OMODA E5 Noble.

This year’s campaign stars Octopus’ beloved pink mascot, Constantine, on a mission across Britain to release surprise giveaways and help people save money, all while outsmarting a sneaky private eye determined on keeping Black Friday about SPENDING.

A new film noir-style video will drop each morning of Pink Friday week, revealing that day’s giveaway.

The Pink Friday line-up includes:

• Monday: Greggs Treat Drop – 8,000 free Greggs sausage rolls (or savoury item of your choice!)
• Tuesday: Constantine Chocolates – thousands of packs of free chocolates
• Wednesday: ODEON Movie Night – up to 2 free cinema tickets per customer
• Thursday: Constantine Plushie Takeover – 10,000 free plush toys given away
• Friday: The Big One – £8 off UberEats for a Friday night takeaway

On Giving Tuesday (2 Dec), Octopus helps customers give back by letting them send an Appleyard London bouquet to a loved one for £8 (68% off RRP, 8,000 available) – the perfect way to round off a week of freebies with something that will make someone else’s day.

Sister brand Octopus Electric Vehicles is also joining in on the fun and offering Octoplus customers chance to win one of two electric cars: the OMODA E5 Noble in Obsidian Black (worth £35,064) or a Jaecoo E5 Pure in Zircon Grey (worth £28,005).

How to bag the goodies:

Octopus customers can get involved in the festivities by clicking on the ‘Octoplus’ button in the Octopus Energy app*. Treats will drop in the app each day and customers will need to bag them before they go!

‘Octoplus’ customers will also be prompted to enter a daily prize draw to win one of the two available electric cars. Two winners will be selected and contacted on Friday, 28 November, between 3pm and 3.30pm, when they must correctly answer the question “What day is it?” with the not-so-secret phrase “It’s Pink Friday” when asked on the call.
