Why is my meter screen blank?

There are a few reasons why your meter might be blank and not playing ball.

Try these things

  • It might be sleeping

    Press one of the buttons on the meter to see if it wakes up.

  • There may have been a power cut

    Check if anything else has lost power. If there's been a power cut – wait for your smart meter to reboot.

For customers with prepayment meters:

If the screen says "OFF", you'll need to reconnect the meter before you can use electricity or gas.
