What if I'm moving house or have just moved in?

First thing to remember when moving house is that you won't lose supply. The existing provider will keep supplying the property until you tell them otherwise.

If you're moving out of a house we supply

Let us know you're moving house online, whether you want to take us with you to your new property or not. This will help us close your current account, and start switching the supply at your new place if you want too.

Ideally, we'd like to know 17 days before you move, so we can start supplying your new place from the day you move in. But giving less notice or telling us after you've already moved is fine, too. There's loads more information on our blog.

If you've just moved in to a property we supply

If you've received a "move-in" card from us in the post, just give us your details here so we can set up your new account.

If you haven't heard from us with a "move-in" card yet, and you're keen to get your new account set up, just email hello@octopus.energy with a few details:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Move in date
  • Move in meter readings

We'll let you know the tariffs available and help you decide what's right for you.
