Have a smart meter we can connect to
We can connect to second generation (SMETS2) meters, and Secure™ branded (SMETS1) smart meters. If you don't have a smart meter, we can install one for you once you switch.
Hang tight while we connect to your smart meter
It generally takes us around 14 days to connect to a smart meter so we can read it remotely – whether it's one we've just installed, or one we're taking over after you switch to us.

Once we're connected and getting half–hourly readings from your smart meter, we'll send you an email asking you to accept the Terms & Conditions of Octopus Go Green to complete your switch.

Where do I find my order number?
Your order number will be on your Cupra order paperwork you received from your Cupra Centre when you ordered the vehicle.
Is everyone eligible for Octopus Go Green?
Octopus Go Green is a smart tariff which means that you need to have a SMETS2 or Secure SMETS1 smart meter installed before you can join the tariff.
Don't have a smart meter? No problem! Join Octopus Energy on an interim tariff through this link, and we'll contact you to book a smart meter appointment once you've switched.
Most properties are suitable for a smart meter, as long as you have good mobile signal, and are not currently on a prepay meter. If you've already got a 3 phase electricity meter, you're in a rural location, or your electricity meter is in a communal cupboard, drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll look into it for you.

Yes! You can switch to any one of our Octopus tariffs here and still receive your free miles.
How do I claim my free miles?
Your free miles will be received in the form of £90 credit in your Octopus Energy account when you switch both fuel accounts to Octopus. The credit will be automatically added to your account once you're on supply and your first direct debit has been taken (usually around 10 days later).
How is the free mileage calculated?
For the CUPRA Formentor 1.4 e-HYBRID DSG-auto 204PS, at Octopus' Go tariff off-peak rate (7.5 p/kWh), £90 credit is equivalent to up to 3,000 miles. This is based on a usable battery capacity of 12.8 kWh and WLTP of 32 miles giving an efficiency average of 0.36 kWh/mile. Efficiency differs depending on multiple variables, such as driving conditions and vehicle configuration. If the vehicle is not charged during the off-peak window £90 credit is equivalent to approximately 818 miles based on the peak electricity price of 30.73/kWh.
What if I'm already an Octopus customer?
Customers who joined us directly can still avail of this great offer. However, if you joined us via our Refer a Friend scheme or through one of our partners, and have already received a joining reward, unfortunately, you're not eligible for a free miles reward. If you're a gas and electricity customer, and haven't received a joining reward from us previously, you'll receive a £90 credit. If you're only with us for one fuel type, you'll receive £45 credit. I've purchased a Cupra electric vehicle and want to sign up to a standard tariff, am I still eligible?
You're still eligible for free miles if you switch your gas and electricity supply to one of our standard tariffs. If you decide to switch to one fuel type, you'll receive £45 credit. You can switch to any one of our Octopus tariffs here.

*To benefit from the free miles, you';ll need to be a new or existing customer of Octopus Energy and have purchased a new Cupra electric vehicle.
New customers to Octopus Energy who own an Cupra electric vehicle and who set up an account for gas and/or electricity supply will be eligible for free miles in the form of £45 credit per fuel type on their energy account.
To receive £90 credit, customers must switch both fuels to Octopus Energy. If only one account is switched, the customer will receive £45 credit.
The credit shall be applied once the account is on supply and the first direct debit payment has been taken.
To benefit from the Octopus Go tariff, the customer must have a SMETS2 smart meter or a SecureTM branded SMETS1 meter that they have agreed to let Octopus receive half-hourly consumption data from.
Octopus Go is still a beta product and is subject to changes and tweaks as it is optimised and developed.
